Background
With a staff of 15 in our garden machinery division Atkins is the largest groundscare dealership in Cork. We represent leading brands including Kubota, Husqvarna and Honda. Our existing Kubota assembly mechanic is moving to another role in the business and this creates an opportunity for a productive and mechanically minded person.

Job Purpose
Assembly of new groundscare machinery and refurbishment of used groundscare machinery.

Key Responsibilities
- Assembly and pre delivery inspection of all types and brands of garden machinery and predominantly the Kubota groundscare range which includes ride-on mowers, compact tractors and utility vehicles.
- Service and refurbishment of trade-ins.
- Put away new stock deliveries, inc. checking off goods against delivery dockets and recording serial numbers.
- Disposal of packing materials.
- Replenish and maintain presentation of the Kubota display areas.
- Assist customers loading/unloading machinery.
- (Potentially) delivery and installation of new machinery with customers and collection of machines for service work from customers.

Performance Measures
- Assembly times
- Rework/warranty relating to assembly issues
- Presentation of display areas
- Customer complaints

Qualifications Required
- Understanding of and interest in machinery / engines required.
- Prior experience of repairing / working with machinery an advantage.
- Full driving license required.

Personality Traits Sought
- Flexibility, an ability to multitask and work at a high pace under pressure, a customer service orientation.

Job Dimensions
Organisation: Working alongside 4 mechanics and reporting to the workshop administrator with a dotted line to the Kubota salesperson.
Working Conditions: External (covered but open) assembly area.
Schedule: Mon. – Fri., Overtime on occasion in season.
Equipment & Tools: Provide own tools. Overalls and safety boots provided.
