COVID-19 Trading Arrangements, Updated 24/03/20

Dear customer,

Per the government’s indicative list today of what are considered essential retail outlets all our operations, with the exception of the café in the gardencentre (already closed since 16th March), will continue to remain open. We will keep this level of service going as long as we have sufficient resources available and as long as we’re allowed.

One change to our normal trading hours is, on account of staff availability being curtailed, the gardencentre will not open on Sundays until further notice. It will be open from Monday to Saturday as normal.

In store we have taken measures to help customers achieve distancing at the counters, have hand sanitiser in several places and are following a routine of sanitising surfaces and handles repeatedly during the day. As per the last message, we ask that children aren’t brought instore and now is not the time for browsing.

For those who would prefer not to enter the store we can offer the following solutions:
i)       We can take card payments over the phone and bring items to the front of the premises to load directly into your vehicle;
ii)      There is a click and collect check out facility on our website. Likewise, we can have your order prepared to load directly into your vehicle.
iii)     We continue to despatch parcelled items ordered online daily by courier. Web orders for palleted items may take a little longer to organise. In addition, delivery charges for orders of any value that can be send by courier (max parcel size of 1.75m length x 300cm girth and max weight of 30kg) are being waived for now.

For those who require us to call out to their premises (collections & deliveries, machinery repairs, robot mower installations, etc) we will discuss arrangements with you before coming.

Thank you for your understanding and continued business. Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries or concerns. Mind yourself and we all look out for each other.

The team at Atkins
