  • Atkins Farm Machinery Demo Day - the report

The first-ever Atkins Farm Machinery large scale demonstration was a roaring success at Watergrasshill last Thursday 27th July. This was the biggest collection of machinery in the south, with 16 Kubota tractors, Kubota RTV, Fendt Tractor and JCB loader in use. There was an assortment of machinery - Mowers, Balers, Wrappers, Rakes and Bale Handling equipment.

The demonstration was hosted by Atkins with McHale machinery, Kubota, Fendt and JCB equipment also in use. Splendidly organised, the visitors were treated to demonstrations of all the equipment going through its paces.

Despite the weather, windy, damp and unseasonably a bit cold for the end of July, the top class equipment on show made short work of the 10 acres of grass to be mowed, baled, wrapped, gathered and stacked. Well done to all concerned - great to see so much machinery gathered and working in one place.

Sometimes pictures can tell a story far more accurately than words - sample photographs from the day are shown here, with more on our facebook pages.

    - a tractor and loader demo area
    - there will also be a Kubota utility vehicle test track
This will be an interactive day with opportunities to try some machines for yourself.

Agriland have also written an outline of the planned demonstration day. You can read the article by clicking here
